Today is the International Day for Dialogue Among Civilizations. 🌍
In theory, it's a day for different cultures to come together, listen to one another, and build understanding.
In reality, if civilizations had a giant group chat, it might look something like this:
🏛️ Ancient Rome: We built roads.
🏯 China: We invented paper.
🕌 Persia: We advanced science.
🇫🇷 France: We have fine wine.
🇮🇹 Italy: We have pasta.
🇮🇳 India: We have spices.
🇲🇺 Mauritius: We have beaches.
🍕 Italy: Who wants pizza?
Everyone: Excellent! Let's be friends! 🤣🍕🌍
Then someone joins the chat and says:
🍍 Pineapple belongs on pizza.
And just like that, thousands of years of civilization, diplomacy, and international cooperation disappear in 3 seconds. 😂💥
The lesson of today is simple, we don't all have to agree on everything. We can have different histories, traditions, and opinions, and still get along just fine.
Well, except maybe on the pineapple issue. 😆🍍
