Need thoughts on canceling the spring studio recital
Hello!
I am a piano and cello teacher. I used to host two student recitals a year, but I have been thinking maybe I should cancel the spring recital this year?
To be honest, I’ve found that preparing for two recitals often leaves students focusing only on their performance pieces rather than building a solid technical foundation. Furthermore, the process is incredibly draining, and I find myself feeling quite stressed at the prospect of organizing them.
However, I am a bit concerned about whether parents might feel let down by having one fewer performance this year.
Could anyone give me some advice? Should I skip it this year or stick to it?
