Truck mounted bush hog

Hey all, I just wanted to get your opinions on a project of mine. I just got 5 acres of land that is full of weeds. Stuff with 1/2 ish thick woody stems, tall grass, burrs, etc. I don't want to rent a bush hog and spend all day clearing it, only to have to come back and rent one again in a year or so, so I wanted to make my own bush hog thing with a 20hp riding lawn mower engine I have laying around. The plan in my head is a frame with four adjustable height pneumatic wheel casters at each corner with the mower engine mounted at the center. The 1" output shaft will directly couple to a separate shaft below it, which will be mounted to two 4 bolt pillow block bearings. At the end of the second shaft will mount a 5 foot blade with a roll pin so if it gets stuck it will hopefully save the shaft. This whole thing will be mounted to the front of my truck kind of free floating so it can move up and down with the terrain, but the truck can push it forward and side to side. I'll put guards on it of course.

Does this sound like a dumb idea? I know I can rent a bush hog and it will definitely work, but I don't want to pay for that or spend an entire day cutting with it, and then I still have to get some mower to maintain the growth. 5 acres is a lot to mow with a regular riding lawn mower, and to get something bigger would probably cost a lot. I figure I can make this truck mounted mower thing for pretty cheap, and once it's all rough cut down, it can be used to maintain the growth as well. The 5 foot blade diameter will cut the yard faster than a smaller riding lawn mower, and I'll be driving it from the comfortable enclosed cab of my truck, not out in the elements. I chose 5 feet for the blade because at 3600 rpm, the tips will be close to the speed of sound but not quite there. I've heard that rotating plane propeller tips past mach 1 is inefficient, so I'm assuming it's the same for a mower blade. I know most mower blade tips move much slower than that, so maybe there's a reason for that? Is it a bad idea to up it to 6 foot diameter? Either way I think it'd be fun to make something like this if it will work.

One of my concerns is whether the engine will be powerful enough, which I'm kind of doubting, but I figure if I just go slow enough it'll work out. Another concern is the blade diameter, maybe it rotating so fast is an accident waiting to happen? Maybe the large flywheel will make it hard to start the motor? Maybe I'm not thinking logically about the costs and effort involved with my idea or alternatives? The time to make it isn't a big deal to me if it's reasonably sure to work, it's fun to build things like this.
