Transition from GoBoard to wood paneling
I’m in the process of upgrading my bathroom. we replaced the tub and had a professional come and install tile within the alcove. He used GoBoard with their sealant. At the outside corner, the wall rejoins the existing 1/4” thick wood paneling. What is the correct way to transition between the two? JM says you can apply drywall mud directly to GoBoard to transition to drywall, but mud is not really compatible with wood paneling. Is my best option to just find a piece of trim to cover the edge? I don’t want to remove the last of the paneling because I can’t get 1/4” green board, and changing to 1/2” will mess with my door trimming (right?).
