Most western Weddings have become boring and commodified
The wedding in a box model has become a boring repetitive movie you have seen a thousand times. There is little to no creativity or gravitas with each wedding being indistinguishable from the 100 that came before
The peer pressure to constantly be happy at the wedding , and the subconscious time limit coupled with getting married in general no longer being universally seen as a virtue has zapped the fun out of most weddings
But I shouldn't say zapped the fun ,what has really been zapped is the gravity and gravitas of a wedding. Replaced with commodified cheap relatable water thin fun
