Professional Gamers are wildly overpaid and are probably partially why the eSports bubble is bursting

I keep seeing the same things over and over again, blaming Riot Games and Blizzard for their franchising fees and while it is partially their fault can we stop pretending like every pro gamer in a competitive seen needs a half a million dollar salary?

The average salary for a LCS player is 350k and their were reports of standard salaries of 500k for professional Overwatch players. CS players report on average 30k a month coming to over 350k a year. Even some of the smaller games like Apex and Rocket League report 200k for their players. This is just the average too this is not accounting for bigger more prestigious players Faker the mid laner for SKT makes nearly 2 million dollars a year!

I'm pretty sure they are often given free accommodations through team houses (they may have to pay rent, I could not find any source stating one or the other)

Whiles eSports are a huge industry I just don't understand how the players are getting payed this much. It has to be having an affect on all these organizations that are constantly blaming the franchising cost for the reason they are losing money.

I'm not saying that these players should have their pay slashed, because the orgs already messed up to begin with by offering these contracts, they are paying their players like real professional athletes when their tournaments barely crack 50k viewers nowadays. I also see significantly less people (maybe 0 in my entire life) wearing pro teams jerseys out in public, but I guarantee I can find someone wearing a football jersey any time of the year.
