Budgeting advice as a first-time traveler
Hello! I am setting off for Colombia and Ecuador for four months soon. I will almost exclusively be staying long term (4 weeks +) and volunteering for accommodation and food. Essentially need spending money for overnight buses, and the occasional drink/ activity - but for the most part doing it veeery on the cheap.
I currently have about $1000 dollars to spend, not including flights/travel insurance. Any idea if that is a realistic amount?
