Apparently a hot take but it’s clear to me that the pve mindset is killing PvPvE games

Say what you want but the facts don’t lie, a very loud vocal minority has been making their opinion heard on games like arc raiders, dune awakening, marathon etc and as such the implementation of pve-centric features is killing them off.
I don’t mind a bit of pve, it works well in something like helldivers or cod zombies for example but in a game like arc raiders it just doesn’t offer enough excitement and it takes away from the whole post-apocalyptic scavenger vibe if everyone’s friendly and working together, there’s no adrenaline pumping gameplay if everyone’s just running around looting together and it makes rarer items less cool to have or find since they aren’t people out to steal them.
PvP also adds Infinite replay ability to a game, you don’t have to rely on content updates as much because you never get bored of fighting other players, look at a game like rust, if you suggested PvP in there you’d be laughed out.
The player counts speak for themselves and the pvp players need to make their voices heard and not let these scared bums ruin perfectly good games.
