Are the nominal wood dimensions also fake in countries that use the metric system?
In the US, a 2x4 is actually \~1.5" by 3.5". Plywood is closer to the nominal dimensions, but still not precise (ex: 3/4" plywood is \~5/8").
For countries that use the metric system, I have two questions:
1) What are the nominal dimensions at the store?
2) Do the nominal dimensions match the actual dimensions?
