I'm jealous of confident, charming, outgoing people
I don't get jealous over materialistic things, but rather non materialistic things such as experiences, relationships, and people. One type of person in particular that I envy, are those who are highly confident, charming, and outgoing people. They seem to get everything they want in life just handed to them with ease.
These sorts of people constantly seem to have such a fun and vibrant life with people surrounding them everywhere they go. They are basically loved by everyone and will have these huge friendship circles and make friends on the spot so easily no matter where they are. Every event/chapter in their life seems to be filled with joy and entertainment. They get invited to every party and event happening, and are always the centre of attention. Like I know people who went to college and got along with pretty much everyone in their year and made close friends with like 50-60 people. They were oozing so much confidence and charm that they were basically a magnet to everyone around them. It must be great to have had such a large backing and support. These kinds of people constantly have someone readily available to talk to about anything. Emotional advice, financial advice, discussing life, just wanna chat? There's always someone readily available.
Compare that to the complete opposite kind of person, and even the most simplest things become miserable. College for example, when you have crippling social anxiety, self esteem issues, zero social skills and drowning in depression, College becomes a very lonely and isolating place. Something that is supposed to be the hallmark and milestone of life, suddenly becomes hell on earth. The ideal "College experience" only suits those who have the confidence and traits to make it happen. For everyone else, College becomes a passing thought. To spend years in a place and struggle to make even a single close friend, it truly drives someone insane. Likewise, life itself even after College remains miserable. Being a shy, socially awkward adult in the working world is basically a death sentence. You will be used and trampled on.
I hate being like this. Everywhere I look I see these confident outgoing people living their best lives, meanwhile I'm here trying to find the strength and courage just to leave the house and walk around in public. I'm lonely as hell. I don't have a single close friend, nor ever been in a relationship, all because I can't even have simple conversations with anyone, because I'm awkward and lack confidence. Most super popular outgoing people will probably talk to like 15-20 people a day, whereas I probably talk to the same 2-3 people across a whole week. I really want to know how I can become like those super confident charming people? I want to feel what it is like to be a people magnet and be surrounded by dozens before I die. #relationships
