She started playing because it "looked interesting." Three years later, she's representing her country.
Agness Fisonga is 16, from Southern Province, Zambia. She picked up table tennis in 8th grade at school, the only place with a table. No club. No private coach. Just school training, every day, for three years.
This year, table tennis was included in Zambia's National Youth Games for the first time. She made the team, competed against players from across the country, and earned her spot as a national player.
