Just got back from a 3-day, 2-night loop and wanted to share what I changed about managing my phone battery.
Usually I’d bring a bigger power bank and a separate cable. Between navigation, offline maps, photos and video, I’d end up stopping every so often just to plug in. This time I tried keeping a magnetic power bank attached to my iPhone 16 while hiking. I could keep using Maps or taking photos while it charged, and it stayed attached even when I was moving around on climbs.
The biggest difference was honestly just not thinking about my battery percentage all day. I also used the same bank to top up my earbuds at camp.
One less cable and one less thing to keep checking made the whole setup feel a lot simpler. #nature #activity source
