does anyone know the best way to volunteer with a hospital or get hired at one here?

i'm a college student doing premed and i am trying to see if anyone knows the best way to actually get an "in" in any clinical setting. i've applied and filled out countless volunteer forms, but i feel like someone may just know better than me and i'd love any advice i can get !! :(
