I've done a lot of self-work this summer, and I was curious if what I've found resonates with anyone else. If not, that's okay. I just find that this system is for me.

1. Be true to myself, I so I can be true to everyone else.

2. Keep it simple, because if it's too complex, there's too much effort. Step back and assess.

3. Follow no one but myself. You can learn from someone, but to follow them is to follow their path.

4. Be my own master. Ask what's controlling me. Ego, excitement, fear, anxiety, or desire.

5. Be comfortable with being uncomfortable. It's growth.

6. Be brave and do the hard thing. Face it head on. Take your time if you have to.

7. Love yourself. Sometimes no one will do it for you.

8. Make time. Don't pass it. Empty time leads to empty thoughts leading to an empty life.

9. Cannot control everything, but you can control what you can. That's stoicism.

10. Gratitude. It's easy to forget what you have when you think about what you don't have.

11. Failure happens. Don't let it have power.

12. Be present. I'd say be present always, but sometimes it just doesn't happen.

13. Honor and kindness. Respect what things are, and be kind for yourself. Altruistically.

14. Wu wei. Let nature be nature. That's taoism.

15. Challenge yourself.
