I'm struggling to figure out how the NHL will fill out the World Cup rosters
4 teams are going to require significant European players to come play to fill out their roster.
The last time they NHL did a real World Cup without gimmick teams was 1996, and they did it in September where leagues hadn't started yet. You're supposed to convince these european leagues to stop their seasons to help an NHL tournament? KHL for one is definitely not going to help the NHL out.
I'm at a loss on how they expect to pull this off in February and have at least one or two heavily european teams to travel to Alberta for this.
