Bocce is translated from Italian as "overweight senior citizens arguing about meaningless rules of an unpopular sport while pursuing alcoholism".

I know this as Bowls, Boules or Pétanque. I played Indoor Carpet Bowls once and was beaten hands down. Who knew the victor had won Silver at the Commonwealth Games? 🤣 It explained the merciless strategy he deployed!

still play, sometimes...The history of bocce ball
The first known documentation of bocce was in 5200 B.C. with an Egyptian tomb painting that depicted two boys playing. The game spread throughout the Middle Easter and Asia, where it was eventually adopted by the Greeks and passed on to the Romans. 😉
