Did anyone else greatly underestimate the second baby?
We just had our second baby after having our first 4 years ago. I obviously knew the transition of having two kids at once would be a lot, and it is, but I greatly underestimated the newborn part. I guess 4 years was just long enough for us to forget what it was really like, but we always hear friends say the second was so much easier than the first. I feel dumb because I feel like we totally let our guards down thinking the second would fit seamlessly into our life but they're obviously a lot of work and require a lot of attention. Of course we're way more chill this time and don't really "worry" about anything so that part is easier but also... this baby is still kicking our asses regardless lol. Idk I feel dumb and blindsided and just wondering if anyone else is as dumb as us and underestimated the second after forgetting what it's really like.
