WWII nonfiction about the Ghost Army fake tanks, sonic deception, and battlefield illusion
Hey everyone,
My WWII nonfiction book **THE ILLUSION SYNDICATE** is free on Kindle today as part of a limited promotion.
It tells the true story of the **Ghost Army**, one of the strangest deception units of World War II. Instead of fighting with real tanks and heavy artillery, they used inflatable vehicles, fake radio traffic, sound recordings, false unit patches, and staged battlefield activity to make the German army believe whole American divisions were moving where they weren’t.
The book covers:
the post-D-Day breakout
the Red Ball Express crisis
rubber Sherman tanks
Hollywood sound engineers
spoof radio operators
fake command posts
Operation Elephant
the Bettembourg Bluff
Operation Viersen
and the classified erasure of the unit after the war
It’s written for readers who enjoy:
WWII hidden history
military deception
Ghost Army stories
wartime espionage
secret operations
unusual true stories from the Second World War
Grab it free here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0H274XKG3
Hope some of you enjoy it. The Ghost Army is one of those stories that sounds fake until you realize it actually happened.
