I've noticed that some servers are currently very, very slow. It varies, though. A server that's slow today might be fast again tomorrow.
If a server is too slow, just switch to another one—one click and you're already on the next server.
Currently there are 79 global server locations with 1 & 10 Gbps port servers.
And another tip:
In most cases the TCP protocoll works best. If not, try another protocoll. You can find them under "Settings" in your installed client.
