Hundreds of workshop hours for a few minutes of looking at the finished door
Between the first workshop photo and the moment a historic door returns to its opening, there are hundreds of hours of work: disassembly, paint removal, timber repairs, joinery, recreating missing elements, fitting, and repeated test assemblies.
Then we post the result here, and you probably spend a couple of minutes looking at it.
A strange ratio, but a good one.
For those of you who work with wood: when you look at a finished piece, **do you find yourself thinking about how many hours are hidden behind it**?
>We keep doing this work in Odesa, Ukraine, during the war. Each restored door is a small glimpse of the city we hope to see restored. #diy
