estate sale plumbing help

Just moved into a place that had the water turned off for about 5 years (estate sale condo). We have had some water issues related to rubble gaskets/seals/ect breaking down after years of not being used. I'm looking for a list of things to check before I get surprised with another leak. Thank you!
