'Plot holes' don't matter and caring about them misunderstands what stories are.
I don't care about plot holes. I don't understand why anyone does. The reason things happen in a story is that the person telling the story wanted that thing to happen. Complaining about them is like saying Picasso is bad at painting because 'faces don't look like that'. The obsession with plot holes is an obsession that things need to make sense and be logical, but what is logical about stories? It's pretending that things that didn't happen, happened.

They don't need to. They wanted it to happen. That's it, that's all.
