Treat each interaction like it's the only time it will ever happen. Because it is.

I guess you can in some ways rule out some things like repetitive job-related interactions (customer service, various troubleshooting, etc., although I'd argue that even these each have their own unique qualities and can have unexpected value when engaged with earnestly). My point is that it can be easy to forget how wholly and inextricably unique all of your human interactions are. That there is a novelty in each and every one of them which can be easy to miss if you aren't fully present. Many with potential opportunity woven into their fabric if you are only attentive enough to see the finer details.

Just sharing some thoughts. Something that I think is valuable to strive for, that fosters a 'zero-waste' mindset with how you engage with the world and those in it. Also taking a second to acknowledge that it might not be realistic to maintain at all times, and that's fine. That there is an inherent truth to it you can come back to whenever you're ready.
