The fighting in hockey is dumb and detracts from the viewing experience of the sport
Hockey is such a cool game that requires such a unique skill set at a professional level. The physicality, combined with the technical skill of ice skating, and the finesse of manipulating the puck with a stick are awesome and super interesting to watch.
To have it all stop so two dudes can transform into meatheads punching each other is fuckin dumb and I don't get why people find it exciting.
It might be cool if it was adjacent to professional fighting/boxing or something, but its nothing like that.
