Ineligible for rehire seriousness?
Hi all, earlier this week I was terminated for poor performance according to management. Even though I was told I improved, I still got terminated for that reason and was told that I’d be ineligible for rehire. I’m not looking for new jobs, but I’m worried it’s going to turn prospects off. For reference I’m in IT and while I do admit I had opportunities for growth, my manager admitted it was more of a cost thing. Is this as big of a death sentence to my career as I think it is or am I overreacting? For clarification I was there for 12 years.
