How do you handle an orchiopexy?
My baby is 4 months old and I was told he needs to have an orchiopexy if his testicles have not descended by 6 months.
As a first time mom, looking at my sweet baby’s face, I’m horrified. I can’t stand the idea of another person caring for my baby without my supervision, let alone having him sedated and operated on by complete strangers without me or his dad there. We didn’t even have him circumcised.
I try to not think about it as much as I can, but the reality of this is coming up. What was your experience with this procedure as a parent? Any advice for me? And I would also like to know if anyone out there has personally had this procedure done to them and if everything was ‘normal’ for you in adulthood?
