wet dry vac VS water bug for removing water from basement
There was a huge storm and the sudden rush of water overwhelmed the sewers so all the water came pooling in through our drains, toilet, and tub. My basement had about 4-5 inches of water. Once the city's sewer catches up, the water level goes back out but I'm still left with about 1 inch of water.
I spent 5 hours with my husband mopping, sweeping, and drying out the basement but realized there must be a easier way to handle this! After doing some research, we've decided to get either a **wet dry vac or a water bug** to help remove the water and make it easier for us. Maybe we need both?
Additional info: when the water floods, its rain water but it also brings in layer of dirt and soot.
Is this the right equipment for us to get? Does anyone have any recommendations for this?
