“There is a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in.” — Leonard Cohen
After a solid week of grey skies, the blue suddenly broke through yesterday afternoon, right as I arrived home out of my psychologist’s office. It felt like the universe was painting a metaphor just for me. For the longest time, I thought strength meant healing alone, white-knuckling through past traumas. But yesterday was a reminder that true strength is accepting that some weights are too heavy to lift without professional help. The clouds are clearing, both up there and in here.
If I’m a bit quiet lately, I’m just taking the time to breathe in this new air.
Sandra, your words are so beautiful! I love how you captured the metaphor of the skies clearing both outside and within. May each day bring you more light and calm. Hugs 💛✨
Thank you so much, Ubiq. It felt a little scary to put those feelings into words, so I’m really glad the metaphor resonated with you. I appreciate the support. 💙
