I have been using a Centurion elevated self-watering planter to grow some zucchini on my back patio. I typically leave the lid off, but my area (Northeast Kansas, Zone 6a) has had some pretty bad storms and high winds the last few weeks, so I have been putting the lid on to help protect my plants when it gets bad out. I put the lid on 3 days ago and today I took it off to find several leaves covered in this white substance that I assume is mold. I don't think this is from the soil (it's a mix of 2/3rd Miracle Grow Gardening soil for vegetables and herbs and 1/3 Master garden orchid mix). I have planted several other veggies with the same soil mix that don't appear to have the same problem, though they have not been covered and are in large pots. Any tips on saving my plants? Am I just out of luck? #activity source
