I was having issue with my Dryer taking ages to dry. I noticed when I started the dryer there was a lot of condensation on the window that lasted for pretty much the entire cycle. I took a part the dryer to clean below the removeable lint trap, exhaust pipe and the vent tubing that goes out the house. The dryer still kept taking ages to dry.
I originally had went out to check the Dryer Vent Hood and thought it was clear. Then several months after I went out when it was running and realized I had checked the wrong Dryer Vent Hood as there was 2 on the same side of the house with the first being for the overhead stove fan and the second for the Dryer.
I popped off Dryer Vent Hood it was pretty much 99% blocked and caked with lint. I scraped off what I could and also tried to clean the piping. After I went to use the dryer and it took 80% less time to dry.
A week later I went to dry and noticed it was faster than original but taking a bit more time. I went back out and checked and the Dryer Vent Hood was blocked 50%. That was maybe 2-3hours worth of drying and it was already blocked? I am not sure if I should replace the Dryer Vent Hood or something else is causing the quick accumulation of lint?
I added pictures of me quickly cleaning the 50% blockage. Is this Dryer Vent Hood not ideal?
