This brings back memories of a German friend I had when I was 14, she was 14 too. She was such a kind and lovely soul. Back then, we could only communicate through handwritten letters, and it took almost a whole month for a reply to arrive, but the waiting somehow made it even more special. Iβd feel so excited and happy every time I heard from her.
I still remember the day a parcel arrived, inside was a vinyl record of German songs, along with many photos of her, her family, and the place where she lived. It felt like opening a little window into her world, and for a moment, the distance between us didnβt seem so far at all.

At a certain moment of her life, her parents get divorced and I believe she couldn't cope with it, even I tried to comfort her. The letters starts coming rarely and I have no more news from her. I just hope she's ok. π
