Just finished a cut on the miter saw at work, was bringing the blade up, and moved my hand too soon. Still have all my fingers luckily, but a deep bad cut on the meaty part between thumb and point your finger. Staying in the ER overnight, and have surgery in the morning to repair likely cut tendons. I had been making the same cut all day, it was an hour to the end of my work day, and wasn't careful enough for 2 seconds. Slow down, and let the blade stop before you lift it back up. Trying not to beat myself up about it, cause the saw did a good enough job of that already, but I do feel pretty stupid.
