"Myrull", or bog wool, is everywhere in the Norwegian mountains and the dots look fantastic once they're dry - leaving no doubt about where the name came from. Blyfjell, Norway, .
I prefer hiking in the high mountains and it is quite strange, really, how much life this barren landscape supports. Tons of flowers, berries and less noticeable ground cover, grazing animals and rodents, and, less cool, a lot of insects. Among all this, the dots of "myrull" stand out to me. We should rather not pick them, but they're easily enjoyed walking past, too.
