Favourite species for small trinkets?
What are your favourite woods for making small items of aesthetic/functional value? I have lots of small offcuts that I planning to use for bottle-opener handles, some more interesting than others:
\- oak
\- ash
\- holly
\- sapele
\- walnut
\- padauk
\- zebrano
\- elm
\- spalted beech
\- apple
\- ebony (inherited, very small piece)
For those of you who turn pens and similar, what do you like to use?
