Simple question I cannot get answered anywhere: what happens to the original potato you plant?
Reason I ask - I planted some old potatoes in the ground, as compost, not expecting to get lucky with a new potato harvest!
I don’t see the reminisce of the OG potatoes anywhere! This big potato looks too fresh to be the original moldy potato right?
Do they just turn into dirt? Genuinely curious as I don’t want to eat an old potato by accident thinking it’s a young potato to harvest!
