Both new shower doors shattering

TL;DR, bathroom remodel shower doors have exploded, been replaced under warranty, and exploded again, causing injury both times. (Installed September 2025, first shattered November 2025, shattered again march 2026)

Background:

We (family of 5, 3 children under 9) had a bath remodel done in September 2025. In November, our kids were just starting to get into the shower, with two of them already inside opening the door for the youngest; when both doors erupted into a shower of class.

All three children had minor lacerations in hands and feet. The oldest had the most significant injuries which required a glass removal and suturing at the ER (the hand holding the handle while sliding the doors receiving a small deep cut in her knuckle).

We didn’t really know what to do then, so we reached out to the company about the incident, left them a voicemail and they got back to us the businesssay following the weekend. That week, they sent a technician up to clean up the glass and work on installing replacement doors (everything is warrantied).

After discussing the situation with the technician, he was amazed at how it even happened as the doors are notoriously hard to shatter, let alone both at the same time. We suspected it was from the metal handles knocking together as the doors slide by eachother, causing a resonance at the right frequency to break the doors.

Once we had replacement doors and everything cleaned up, everything was fine and we went our separate ways. It took the kids some time to feel comfortable going back into the shower after their previous trauma, but everything went back to normal eventually.

About two months later, one of the doors started being extremely resistant to movement, and we noticed one of the hardware brackets holding the door seemed to have slipped causing the door to have the slightest angle and friction.

This morning:

It happened again. But this time it was me (father, 32) opening the doors so I could grab my toothbrush from the shower wall. Since that hardware bracket loosened, the door closest to the shower faucet does not slide well, so I opened the exterior door so I could reach around, grab the interior handle and slide the interior door far enough to get my toothbrush. Both the knobs on the backs of the opposing shower door handles knocked together and the doors immediately exploded. With my injuries mirroring my oldest’s from the initial incident.

I’m at a loss for what to do as our oldest immediately started breaking down and bawling after she heard the doors explode again, warranty covers them getting replaced, but does my family REALLY want these ticking time bombs back in our shower?

I have genuine concerns about either the glass manufacture or the hardware installation, and overall the genuine safety of these doors. The installer is a national company with contracts with most big hardware stores. Im not sure if I’m at the point of leaving reviews under their company name, but there’s very clearly a problem, I’m just unsure where to start.

Thank you in advance for your help!
