Enchanted beneath a ring of light.π
A 22Β° halo appeared over Florence yesterday.
They say itβs created by sunlight passing through millions of ice crystals suspended in the air, high #cirrus clouds, thin and icy which often means rain is on the way. .. π€οΈπ§οΈ (scroll for more)
Happy Monday everyone! π€©

I saw one of these pics last week and they said it was a 22 degree halo too, why is it called that?

I don't know, itβs the second time Iβve seen something like this... but this morning I read that it happens because the physics of ice crystals creates a halo at that angle and the name just reflects the geometry.
