Good afternoon, my fabulous friends! ☀️✨
How is the day treating you today? Mine started with one alarm, then five snoozes, then a full negotiation with my blanket like, “just 5 more minutes and I promise I’ll change my life.” 😂☕
Conversation of the Day, in honor of World Autism Awareness Day. 💙
Me: Hey, do you know what today is?
Friend: The day I finally become productive? 👀
Me: Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, but it’s also World Autism Awareness Day!
Friend: Oh wow, that’s actually important. What should we do?
Me: Simple, be kind, be patient, and try to understand that everyone experiences the world differently.
Friend: So, like, not judging someone for avoiding eye contact or loud places?
Me: Exactly. Or for needing routines, quiet spaces, or expressing themselves in their own unique way.
Friend: Honestly, that sounds like a better way to treat everyone.
Me: BOOM. You just unlocked common sense level 100. 🎯😂
Friend: But real talk, people with autism go through a lot, right?
Me: Yeah, but they also bring incredible strengths. Creativity, focus, honesty, unique perspectives, the world literally needs that.
Friend: So it’s not about “fixing” them?
Me: Nope. It’s about understanding, supporting, and celebrating them. 💙
Friend: I like that.
Me: Same. Also, we could all learn a thing or two about being unapologetically ourselves.
Today’s little reminder:
Choosing kindness, patience, and awareness isn’t a big grand gesture, it’s in the small moments. Listening more. Judging less. Learning something new.
Different doesn’t mean less. It means powerful in its own way. 🌟
Now go out there, be awesome, stay kind, and maybe drink some water too, yes, this is your reminder. 😌💧
Happy Thursday everyone! 👋✨
