I thought this forest was AI-generated… turns out it’s real
I visited Fanal Forest in Madeira and honestly… it didn’t feel real.
Thick fog, twisted ancient trees, and almost complete silence. At some point it felt more like walking through a movie set than an actual place.
Definitely one of the most surreal hikes I’ve done in Europe.
If anyone’s been there too — did you get the same vibe?
