First solo trip, going to Rishikesh next week — advice from anyone who's done solo travel in India?
Taking my first solo trip next week, 4 days to Rishikesh, India. Going mainly for headspace, not really for sightseeing — using it to think through some bigger life decisions.
Would appreciate hearing from anyone who's solo traveled in India:
* What surprised you, good or bad, about going alone?
* Anything you wish someone told you before your first solo trip?
* Specific to Rishikesh — staying at a hostel (Tapovan area) vs an ashram like Parmarth Niketan, worth knowing the difference?
* Any safety/logistics notes for a first-timer traveling alone?
Not looking for a generic top-10 list, more interested in real first-hand experience.
