Buying an upright piano - Boston 120S vs Yamaha U3
Hi,
Looking to buy an upright for my house so my wife can get back into playing as well as start having my children take lessons to learn.
We envision buying one piano and keeping it, virtually ignoring resale value.
My wife and I visited a Steinway dealer and he was pushing a new Boston 120S for $9,000 OTD with a 10 year warranty for parts and labor.
What also caught my eye in the showroom was a 2014 Yamaha U3. He thought the Boston was better (\*duh\*) but the price on this piano was better at $7,700.
Which is generally considered a better piano and is the new vs. used argument relevant in this instance?
