Hey folks, I'm in a bit of a bind here trying to decide between plywood and OSB for some flooring we're putting down in a new build. We're working in a pretty humid area, and I'm concerned about how each might hold up over time. I know plywood tends to handle moisture better, but it's a bit pricier and I'm on a tight budget. On the other hand, OSB is more affordable, but I've heard mixed things about its long-term durability in moisture-heavy environments.
Would love to hear your experiences or recommendations. Have any of you had issues with OSB in similar settings? Does the initial savings outweigh the potential need for replacement down the road?
