My gouache painting of Claudia from the Interview with the Vampire tv show
Nicker gouache and Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils on Arches hot press watercolor paper. I hadn’t used gouache in years when I started this painting, and I can’t believe it came out as well as it did. I was inspired to do a portrait with an illustrated frame by the works of Ivan Bilibin among other classic storybook illustrators, and I used imagery symbolically related to Claudia’s character arc.
