Cincinnati Reds outfielder Pete Whisenant in a very odd photo op with Cuban revolutionaries during a stopover in Havana, spring 1959.

The Reds and the Dodgers were there to play a Spring Training exhibition. Ironically, from 1953-58, Cincinnati had been known as the Redlegs to distance itself from the common communist epithet, "red", but reverted back to the traditional moniker for the 1959 season.
