Looking for company to Annapurna Base Camp journey
Hello everyone, I’m going to Nepal in November and I will be staying there for 19 days. One of the things that I would like to to do would be a trekking expedition to the Annapurna Base Camp.
I’m not entirely sure for how many days I would like to do this trekking experience but after researching I noticed its possible to do it in 7 days, and after watching many videos and reading articles on the internet it looks like companies that sell these experiences with a guide and porters charge a very inflated ammount of money., so I was considering going alone, however I feel like this experience would be much better with other people. Like having a team and everyone is working to achieve the same thing, so it must feel super rewarding to reach the base camp with people that have been sharing the journey with you.
So what I mean is that I’m not really interested in going completely alone, but I would like to avoid the tours and having an agency taking care of everything because I saw online that paying yourself in the teahouses and paying for your own meals/hot showers etc will be a lot cheaper.
My idea is to see if there are anyone here going in november that wants to join me, without affiliation of any tour companies. I forgot to mention that I’m a professional photographer, and I would like to make some pauses along the way to take some photos, cause its a unique opportunity for me to do this. Of course I dont want to stop every 10 minutes to take photos, but I would like to option to stop from time to time and take some shots of what surrounds me.
My idea is to start the journey to Annapurna base camp on the 11st of november and be back on the 17th or 18th. This would be the ideal for me but im flexible so I can stay one or two more days. Anyone would like to join?
