I discovered painting at 40. What did you discover about yourself later in life?
A year ago, around the time I turned 40, I unexpectedly discovered painting. I had never thought of myself as an artist, and I certainly didn’t expect a new hobby at this point in my life to become something so important to me. I started with simple drawings and early paintings, kept showing up, kept learning, and somewhere along the way it stopped feeling like something I was trying and started feeling like a part of me I simply hadn’t met yet.
I spent a long time believing the important parts of who we are are supposed to reveal themselves when we’re young. This past year changed that for me. **I’m curious how many other people discovered something completely new about themselves later in life. What did you start, and how old were you when you found it?** #inspiration source
