How do I learn to pedal quietly?
I've been having trouble pedaling quietly on acoustic pianos because my foot wants to lift up quickly instead of lifting up slowly. The problem is that I have to repedal on certain notes. For example, I'll lift my foot after I press the F in the second measure but I'll lift it up quickly because if I don't do it fast enough my brain thinks that I'll accidentally put the pedal down (repedal) on the next G and B chord instead of the F on the second measure where the star is. Are there any tips you can share that will help me get over this?
