Switch to SAHM during school age years?
I have 2 kids, ages 13 and 5. I have worked full time since my oldest was 2. Now that both are school age I am actually finding it so much harder to maintain full time work and keep up with the various school schedules/events/extracurriculars/etc. I was pretty proud of myself pushing through and continuing to work through what I thought were the “hard years.” But while school age years are easier in some ways—I’m less emotionally or physically taxed—logistically it feels almost impossible. So now I’m considering possibly staying home for a few years, at least until my oldest can drive. Is this a common experience? Would love to hear others experiences.
