Family road trip
Hi all
We are planning an approx. 21-day road trip in July 2024. "We" is my Wife our two Kids (17 and 19) and myself. It is the first time for all of us visiting the United States.
The plan so far is to spend 3 Days in Chicago, Travel approximately 12 days to New Orleans and spend another 3 days there and fly to New York for another 3 days before returning home.
We haven't booked anything yet, so we are still flexible to change this plan.
Do you Guys have any tips or suggestions for the trip from Chicago to New Orleans, beside the large cities like St. Louis, Nashville, Memphis etc?
We would like to visit an amusement park, as those are not very common where we live. We are considering visiting Dollywood and combine it with a hike in the Smokey Mountains as we all love nature and hiking.
Do you know any other (maybe less well known) places or activities to suggest for this trip?
