Attic air flow
I have an old house with attic venting issues. We got a new roof and ridge vent as well as new soffits and more vents in the soffits. I still don’t this the attic is getting enough air in take. We had air sealing done as well. I can feel the heat from the attic in the house and sometimes smell the attic.
So I have an attic access in my garage and some windows in the garage. If I put a fan in the garage window pulling air in and a fan at the attic access pushing air into the attic, would that potentially help at all? Not worried about the electricity since if it works my AC would run less (which constantly runs now.)
Alternately, does the Amish thing of putting a strip of muslin in the attic actually help with removing some heat or is it a lie?
